Privacy policy
Short version: we don't ask who you are. No name, no email, no phone number, no sign-up form, no ads and no tracking. Your game progress is saved under a random code, and you can delete it any time.
Your account
When you start your first game, our server makes an account for you. The account is a random 16-character code, like 7KQ2-M9XD-4PTA-H3VB. It isn't made from anything about you or your device.
The code is saved on your device (in the browser's storage, or inside the app) so the game remembers you. Our server doesn't keep the code itself, only a scrambled version of it (a hash) that it uses to find your account.
With your account we store your game progress: coins, wins, kills, league XP, the Bros and variants you've unlocked, your completed quests, how tough the bots are for you, a few settings (like the last Bro you picked), when the account was made, the match you're playing right now and your last match result, and how many coins and XP you earned in the current hour. That's all.
What we don't collect
- No name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or device identifiers.
- No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
- The name you type for multiplayer stays on your device and goes only to the other players in your lobby. It is never sent to our server.
- The game doesn't use cookies.
IP addresses and our server
Like any website, our server sees your IP address when your game talks to it. We use it only to stop people from flooding the server (counting requests for about a minute) and we don't store it. The site runs on Cloudflare, which handles every request on our behalf and may keep short-term logs under its own privacy policy.
Playing with friends (multiplayer)
Multiplayer connects players' devices directly to each other (peer to peer). That means the players in a lobby can see each other's IP addresses, as in most online games. To find each other with a lobby code, the game uses the free PeerJS matchmaking service (0.peerjs.com). When two players can't connect directly, the game is relayed through Cloudflare's relay service instead. The game data (positions, moves, names, emotes) passes through these services but isn't stored by us.
Other services the game loads
- Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google Fonts or another font service.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to the website (pages viewed, rough country, browser type) without cookies and without identifying you. The apps don't include it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your account stays until you delete it. To delete it, open Account on the title screen and choose Delete account. Everything stored for it on our server is removed straight away, on every device. Signing out removes the code from your device but keeps the account, so you can come back with the code.
Because we don't know who you are, we can't recover a lost code or find an account for you: keep your code somewhere safe if you want to play on other devices.
Children
Battle Bro's is made to be safe for players of all ages because it doesn't collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
Contact
Questions about privacy, or anything else: support@battlebros.cc. You don't have to tell us your account code, and you never need to send it to delete your account (the game can do that).
